Our Story
In 2018, just days after Hurricane Florence, we left for our planned trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. As we walked along the beach, we found a row of plastic bottle caps and small plastic bits washed up from the storm, as far as you could see. This was the moment that changed everything. Our kids looked at us asked "What can we do about it?"
And with one question, our passion grew into a brand. Amabile was founded to be our answer to their question. It was founded to bring all water loving people together to protect the waters we all love.
My name is Adrian, and together with my wife Katie, we are the founders of Amabile Co. We are an outdoor-loving, faith-based family. Crazy about protecting the world we live in and waters we enjoy.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time around the waters of the Carolinas. From surf fishing at Fort Fisher, fly fishing in Brevard, early morning bass fishing on Lake Wylie, wakeboards, and water skies on the intercoastal waterways, to surfing at Topsail Island, I always found myself on the water. It's the place that continues to bring joy to all our family.
The name Amabile means lovable, friendly, and good-natured. We're not just building a brand, we're bringing together a community of good-natured people to protect the waters we all love. We started with the desire to clean our local waters in whatever ways we could contribute, and now it's our goal to make every part of Amabile support the waters you call home.
